That means goofy ads, no dirty language. I just can't see paying money for this anymore. It'll still be open, you'll all still be able to post here. It's just not enough activity to merit paying for it anymore. You are all valued friends....But it's just a bulletin board when you get right down to it.
We'll all still be able to come here, I just won't be out the $20 every month.

Random Thoughts / We all have our priorities

The Lad came in Wednesday for a few days.

He was completely unaware that his college was in a National Championship Game Saturday.

They won. He gave zero ****.

We all have our priorities. His are strictly academic.

You bet I’m proud.

I feel for you, Jim.
Watching someone disappear in front of you is heart wrenching, to say the least.
We went through 13 years of it with Papa D. It was hard on everyone involved, but it was perhaps the hardest on Papa D.

Sis and I spent the day with Mama D looking at old family pictures. It was a bittersweet day, to be sure.

I sincerely hope that your departed loved ones are in a better place now, and are enjoying each other once again.

Much love sent your way.  :-*

Back at you bro.🙂

Random Thoughts / Thinking about my Mom today

She’s been gone 21 years now. The last 5 years of her life she was lost to all of us anyway, except for rare and fleeting moments when she had the tiniest bits of lucidity, followed by terrified confusion.
I miss her. Miss the Old Man too. He’s been gone 32 years now.
Wherever spirits go, I hope both of them are hanging out with my wife and at peace. 😞

Apparently, last night there were no more available ICU beds in my entire city.

The government shut down more activities and businesses for at least 3 weeks.

****'s gettin' real...

Sounds rather unreal. But I expect we may head that way again, due to the whole fling all the doors open attitude down here. We have a glut of vaccines and fewer takers right now. I’m fully vaxxed, but I still wear a mask. I notice more and more folks throwing caution to the wind in that regard.

I hope you can stay home and safe. I hope you can get vaxxed soon as well. Stay well brother.

Thanks, Jim. I hope that you can stay safe, too.

I'm doing my best to just keep my head down and wait it all out. On the plus side, we are starting to see more vaccines arrive, and the uptake by the younger peeps has been enthusiastic, to say the least. There's also talk of our second shots not being delayed by up to 16 weeks, so that's encouraging as well.

Otoh, sis and I are going out to Dinkleville on Sunday to spend Mother's Day with Mama D. These trips always make me a bit nervous, but I also want to see my mom. Trying to find a balance you can live with can be a challenge, nowadays.
